PEak2Peak (p2p)
Black Fox Wrestling Academy is a member of the Peak2Peak Wrestling League. All P2P Tournaments are held on Saturdays.
Register here for a P2P Tournament.
All P2P registrations have to be submitted by the club per P2P rules. DO NOT register your wrestler for a tournament directly on the P2P website. For details on tournament dates, locations, and schedules, please visit the P2P events website.
All Black Fox wrestlers wanting to compete at a P2P tournament, must register and pay the fee directly on the Black Fox website by 9pm on Wednesday night. Please note that most P2P events will have registration caps this season, so we have bumped up the deadline this season to Wednesday night to ensure we get in before the league closes registration due to hitting their cap.
You must also weigh in at practice with your coach. Your coach will verify your weight, and check your skin and nails. Failure to weigh in will result in your wrestler not being registered for the event and your registration fee being forfeited. We will not allow parents to text, email, or submit a weight remotely. You weigh in during the designated dates at practice with a coach, or you don’t wrestle.
If you fail to pay the fee ($27.00 per bracket) at the time you register or miss the 9pm MT deadline, we will not register your wrestler. No exceptions. Do not attempt to contact P2P directly as they will notify us that you are trying to circumvent the registration process. P2P registration fees are non-refundable. If you register and are unable to attend the tournament for one reason or another, we will not refund or carry your payment over to the next event. P2P registration is the worst part of club admin duties, and we just can’t keep track of credits and last-minute changes for 250+ kids, so please help us help you by registering early and not asking for a refund or credit if you register and don’t end up wrestling at the tournament.
All elite kids are expected to register to compete in the Advanced brackets of P2P and Intermediate team kids should be competing in the intermediate division, unless it is their first year of wrestling. You may only compete in the Novice division if this is your first year of wrestling. If this is your second year of wrestling, but first year competing, you are not a Rookie or Novice any longer. Please register your wrestlers for the division that will challenge them and not the division that they can dominate.
Please ensure you enter your child's age bracket and experience level correctly. We do not have time for last-minute changes and the league, rightfully so, gets frustrated when we ask them to make changes after brackets have been assigned because of data entry errors.
We have only added tournaments to the schedule that our coaches have committed to attending. We want to ensure we have a healthy balance of competition and some weekends off as it is a long season for everyone. We do our best to have enough coaches at tournaments, but we never have enough coaching coverage to make every match. Please understand and be patient with our coaches as they scramble to get from mat to mat to coach your kids. Please plan on arriving at the tournament 45-60 minutes before your session starts. If you decide to attend a tournament not on our schedule, you may do so, however, you must be prepared and comfortable coaching your wrestler. To coach at P2P events you must have your USAW leader card.
On the day of the tournament you can locate your wrestlers' bracket, mat assignment, and cone color by going to www.usabracketing.com. Once at usabracketing.com, you can search for events to locate the P2P tournament. You can click on and enter the event and then search for brackets, divisions, choose specific wrestlers, etc. Once you go into you child's bracket, it will tell you the mat and the cone color.
Your wrestler's age group is determined by their age as of Sept. 1 of this season.
Wrestlers will be divided by age, weight, and ability. No Seeding. All scratch weights.
Double Bracketing is allowed across age divisions only. Separate entry fee for each bracket entered in.
USA card required for each wrestler (these can be purchased at USA Wrestling).
All Coaches need a USA coach’s card (worn visibly) to coach mat-side, and can be purchased at The Mat (Background Check Required - process takes up to 5 business days).
Spectator Admission over 14 years old is $5. 14 year and under is Free. No senior or military discounts.
