Proven track record in athlete development, from grassroots to international-level competition. Recognized for building one of Colorado's largest wrestling academies and playing a key leadership role in state-level wrestling success. Committed to fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Coaching Background

September 2010 - Current 

Black Fox Wrestling Academy - Owner & Head Coach, Franktown, CO  

  • Grew program from 40 athletes to over 360 athletes, establishing one of Colorado's premier youth and high school wrestling academies. 

  • Developed long-term athlete development plans, mentored coaching staff, and managed day-to-day operations. 

  • Worked on building relationships with local schools to offer additional training for athletes 

  • Coordinating national and international travel for events and training. 

  

January 2013 - Current 

Colorado USA Wrestling - 16U & Junior Boys National Team Director, Colorado  

  • Served on the board for since 2015, with a primary role as the Men's Director. 

  • Oversaw Colorado's most successful national runs, producing 34 National Champions and Over 75 All-Americans 

  • Directed and coached Colorado's only 16U and Junior Dual Team All-Americans, achieving three top-8 national finishes in the last five years. 

January 2017 - January 2021 

Douglas County High School - Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach, Castle Rock, CO  

October 2010 - February 2014 

Ponderosa High School - Assistant Volunteer Coach, Parker, CO  

Family

Coach Luke and his wife Mary Jane, reside in Parker, and have two adult children. Ivan who wrestles for the University of Northern Colorado, and their daughter, Ella who is also in college.
