Jorge Benitez

Lead Coach for Youth Folkstyle at our North Location - Chaparral HS

I really love coaching wrestling because I understand firsthand how it can shape and develop the character of young athletes. Wrestling exposes doubts and fears like no other sport and forces individuals to face their fears head-on. I enjoy seeing beginners develop their craft and improve their confidence.

I am privileged to be a part of Black Fox Wrestling Academy. The club has the vision and coordination to develop wrestlers at any skill level into top-tier athletes. Every wrestler at Black Fox really does have access to become the very best of the best, if they put the work in.

Athletic Accomplishments

  • 3-time 5A State Placer, 2-time State Champion for Kofa High in Yuma, AZ

  • Wrestled for 4 seasons at Western Colorado University

Coaching

Throughout my high school and college years, I coached at different wrestling camps in AZ and CO. I've been a youth club coach since 2019, and joined Black Fox in 2022 as the lead folkstyle coach for their North Location.
